Lifestyle Change

After 30 years of being a bean counter, I have decided to change my life style and become a computer geek. I must say  that I am not yet good enough to become a member of the “Geek Squad”.

How does one decide what one becomes?

I have a friend who after being married for 30 years, woke up one day, and decided to change his life style. I suspected all along that he was gay. He calls it being a late bloomer.

Maybe I am also a late bloomer. In addition, should I be wary of my garden of residence? Would I suffer the same fate as Eve?

Now to decide my blooming persona.  I could be an orchid.  Let’s consider some of the choices available to me.

I could be the Chinese Beauty “Orchid Queen”.

Wrong ethnicity!

Alternatively, I could choose to be Cattleya Dowiana – this very attractive species from Costa Rica.

My son would like that he is Costa Rican.

On the other hand, the elusive Ghost Orchid Dendrophylax Lindenii, from the Florida Swamps is like a graceful ballerina and much has been written about her.

Too pale and nondescript.

On the subject of Ghosts, I could be “Dracula Vampira”.

Striking, but not me.

These look like a section from a future Tribe Band.

I think that I will wait till Tribe decides to have a band called “Rare Orchids of the World”

I could become this bloom and have it named after me.

Nah.

In the spirit of the islands I could be the “Tropical Delight”.

Not delightful enough!

IZATRINI so here is my new identity:

From the twin Island republic of Trinidad and Tobago the rare Caularthron Biornutum (Diacrium bicornutum).

The virgin orchid from Trinidad, with fragrant, white, starlight flowers, a lip lightly spotted crimson, blooms gracefully in the summer on long many flowered spikes.

Now how did I get from being a Computer Geek to fragrant rare Trini orchid?

IZATRINIE that’s how!!!
